Learn how to use our tagging system to organize your contacts and quickly pre-register them for auctions
As more and more contacts are added to your contacts section, Tags help group your contacts and keep them organized. They also let you manage multiple contacts easily, whether you're pulling a list of customers or adding them to your pre-approved buyers list.
How to Tag Your Contacts
Navigate over to the Contacts Section. You can either assign tags per contact, or to multiple contacts at once.
To add tags to a single contact:
- Find the contact you'd like to tag, and click on the edit contact button
- Select or create a tag to assign the contact and click Save.
To add tags to multiple customers:
- In the contacts section, select the contacts you wish to tag using the checkboxes on the left.
- Click on the now enabled 'Actions' dropdown and select 'Add Tags to Selected'.
- You can select or create your desired tags and click 'Add' to assign them.
Use Cases for Tagging Customers
There are many use cases for grouping your contacts with tags. Some examples include:
- Frequent buyers
- Completed a purchase in the past
- Local buyers
- Fulfillment preference
- Communication preference
- Members of your newsletter, website, or mailing list
- Whether they are an individual customer, reseller, or retailer
- Previous issues with payment or fulfillment
