New features
Introducing Consignments
Consignees can now use Vendidit to keep track of their consigners. Consignors can be added and kept track of in this new global settings section. Added consignors are displayed in a table which includes essential information such as the name of the business, email, phone, and address. The table supports pagination and includes features like empty state handling and loading skeletons.
A new 'Consignment Settings' link has been added to the dropdown menu in the Seller Portal. This link is placed in the first section, below 'Team' and above 'Storefront Design', providing easy access to consignment-related settings.
Product View Count
We've added a new view count feature for listings to further engage buyers. When a user scrolls over a listing or visits a listing on the buyer platform, it will add to the item view count. This helps show activity on the platform and can highlight popular items, showing buyers that these items are getting seen.
Edit Auction Properties After Launch
You can now edit the properties of auctions that have already been launched. Fields such as title, end time, offer less settings, bid number display, banner, and team information can now be modified. These changes can be made up until the first listing closes.
Wishlist Email Notifications
A new email notification system for wishlisted items has been implemented. Buyers will receive an email notification when an auction containing their wishlisted items is closing soon, typically 2 hours before the auction end time.
Improvements
Contacts Table Update
Our Contacts CRM Table has been updated to a Rich Table design, enhancing its functionality and visual appeal. This update aligns with the new design system.
Numbers Look Better
Numeric formatting has been standardized across the Seller and Buyer side of the platform. This improvement ensures consistent display of numbers, amounts, and counts throughout the seller interface, enhancing readability and user experience.
Fixes
- Formatting on titles has been improved for consistency. For example, 'new' is now displayed as 'New', and 'like new' is now 'Like New', ensuring consistent and proper capitalization across the platform.
- The preprocessing of custom conditions has been moved from the frontend to the backend. This change centralizes the processing of various elements including lot numbers and fulfillment details, ensuring more consistent data handling.
- Text formatting across the platform has been standardized. This includes fixes for capitalization, grammatical errors, and alignment with established style guidelines, resulting in a more professional and consistent user experience.
